01How does a GPS tracker for motorcycles work?
A motorcycle GPS tracker is a small device installed on the bike that determines its position from satellite signals and sends that position, together with status data such as movement, ignition and power, over the mobile network to the Entopizo platform. From there you see the bike on the map in the app, and the system raises an alert when it detects an event you should know about, such as movement without the rider present.
02What does the Entopizo TAG do and why does it prevent false alarms?
The TAG is a personal wireless key that you keep with you. When it is near the motorcycle, the system recognises that the authorised rider is present and treats movement as normal use. When the TAG is away and the bike moves, that is treated as a suspicious event. This is what keeps the protection automatic: you never arm or disarm anything manually, and everyday riding does not generate false alarms.
03How is Entopizo Instant Call different from a push notification?
A push notification is easy to miss: the phone can be silent, in a pocket, or buried under other alerts. Instant Call places an actual phone call to your number when a suspicious event is detected, so the alert behaves like a ringing phone rather than a badge on a screen. Alongside the call you receive the event information and the bike's own siren is triggered locally, which is what makes the difference in the first minutes of an incident.
04Will a GPS tracker drain my motorcycle battery?
Professional trackers are designed for permanent installation and draw very little current, using low-power sleep modes while the bike is parked. The FMC234 also has an internal battery, so it can keep reporting for a period if the main power is interrupted. Our technicians select the reporting profile according to how you use the bike, which matters especially for motorcycles that stay parked for weeks at a time.
05Is the tracker waterproof, and does it work outside Greece?
The device is IP67 rated, so it is built to handle rain, dust and washing in normal motorcycle use. Because it reports over the mobile network, tracking also works abroad wherever there is 4G coverage and roaming is available for the installed SIM, which makes it suitable for touring and for bikes transported between countries. Coverage always depends on the local mobile network.
06What happens if my motorcycle is stolen?
You are alerted immediately by Instant Call, the local siren sounds, and live tracking follows the bike on the map. You should report the theft to the authorities, and the live position data supports their work in locating and recovering the motorcycle. Entopizo stays with you during that process. To date, every Entopizo-protected vehicle that has been targeted has been recovered.
