1. Purpose of this manual

This manual explains how to use the entopizo GPS Tracking Platform for daily monitoring, security, fleet control and reporting.

The platform allows authorized users to monitor GPS objects in real time, review route history, receive alerts, use geofences, generate reports, view sensor information, use supported commands where enabled and access selected features from a mobile application.

Important: Some functions depend on your subscription, user permissions, GPS tracker model, installation type and enabled modules. Advanced configuration, object setup, sensor configuration, permissions, templates and system-level changes are handled by entopizo after a customer request.

2. Basic concepts

Before using the platform, it is useful to understand the core terminology.

3. Access and responsibilities

entopizo customer accounts are designed for everyday platform use, not for system-level administration. Customers can access the features enabled for their account, while advanced configuration is performed by entopizo after request.

Standard user access Used for live tracking, history review, alerts, reports, map tools, mobile access and daily monitoring.
Limited viewer access Used when a user only needs to view selected vehicles, locations or shared tracking information.
Mobile access Used for smartphone access, push notifications, live location, status checks and basic daily use.
entopizo configuration service Used for device setup, permissions, sensors, advanced alerts, templates, account structure and technical changes.

Best practice: Each person should use their own login. Access changes, new users and permission adjustments must be requested from entopizo.

4. First login and account setup

Use this section when logging into entopizo for the first time.

  1. Open the entopizo platform URL provided by your account manager or entopizo support.
  2. Enter your username/email and password.
  3. Change your password if this is your first login or if you received a temporary password.
  4. Check that the correct objects are visible in your account.
  5. Open the map and select one object to confirm live position, last update and status.
  6. Install the mobile app if you need push notifications or mobile access.
  7. Contact entopizo if your visible objects, permissions, units or account details need adjustment.

Recommended first checks

  • Confirm that your vehicles or assets are visible.
  • Confirm that the vehicle names are clear and easy to recognize.
  • Confirm that the map opens correctly.
  • Confirm that at least one recent position is visible.
  • Confirm that alerts or reports you expect to use are available.

5. Workspace overview

The workspace is the main operating screen. It usually includes the map, object list, events panel, history tools and access to the enabled platform tools.

Status indicators

  • Online The platform recently received data from the tracker.
  • Idle The object is not moving or ignition/movement conditions show inactivity.
  • Offline The platform has not received recent data from the tracker.

6. Objects and devices

Each tracked vehicle or asset exists as an object in the platform. The object is connected to a physical GPS tracker through its unique IMEI.

Customer note: New object creation, device activation, IMEI assignment, tracker server settings and advanced object configuration are handled by entopizo. If you need to add, remove or change a tracked object, contact entopizo support.

Requesting object changes

If an object name, vehicle details, group assignment, icon, driver information, odometer, engine hours or sensor setup needs correction, send a request to entopizo with the object name and the change you need.

7. Live tracking

Live tracking is used to view the current or last known position of an object.

How to monitor an object live

  1. Open the main map.
  2. Select the object from the object list.
  3. Click or tap the object marker on the map.
  4. Review speed, address, last update, direction and available sensor values.
  5. Use follow mode if you want the map to stay centered on the moving object.

Information commonly shown

Location Current or last valid GPS position, usually displayed on the map with an address.
Speed Current speed reported by the GPS tracker.
Direction Movement direction, often displayed as an arrow or angle.
Last update The last time the platform received data from the tracker.
Sensors Ignition, battery, temperature, inputs, outputs, fuel and other configured values.
Events Recent alerts or device events related to the selected object.
Tip: If the object appears in the wrong place, check the last update time. The map may be showing the last known position, not the current position.

8. History and route playback

History allows you to review routes, stops, events, speed and data for a previous period.

View route history

  1. Open the History section.
  2. Select the object.
  3. Choose the date and time range.
  4. Click Show, Load or the equivalent action button.
  5. Review the route on the map and the event list.
  6. Use playback to replay movement step by step.

What to check in history

  • Start and end locations
  • Total distance
  • Driving time
  • Stop locations and stop duration
  • Maximum and average speed
  • Ignition ON/OFF points, where configured
  • Geofence entries and exits
  • Sensor changes, where configured

9. Alerts

Alerts notify users when specific conditions occur. They are useful for security, fleet control and operational monitoring.

Configuration note: Basic alert use may be available to selected users. Advanced alert logic, automated actions, complex schedules or special alert scenarios are configured by entopizo after request.

Typical alert workflow

  1. Open the Alerts area if it is enabled for your account.
  2. Select an existing alert or create a new one if your access allows it.
  3. Choose the object or group available to your account.
  4. Set the condition, such as speed, geofence, movement or sensor value.
  5. Select the notification method available to your account.
  6. Save the alert or request entopizo support to apply the configuration.
  7. Test important alerts after configuration.

Avoid alert fatigue: Too many alerts can make users ignore important ones. Start with a small number of critical alerts and expand gradually.

10. Geofences and POIs

A geofence is a virtual area on the map. A POI, or Point of Interest, is a specific location marker.

Configuration note: If geofence creation is not available in your account, send the required location or area to entopizo and we will configure it for you.

Common geofence uses

Company depot Used for entry, exit, parking and working-hour analysis.
Customer site Used to confirm arrival, service duration and visit history.
Restricted area Used to detect vehicles entering prohibited zones.
Allowed zone Used to detect if a vehicle leaves a permitted operating area.

Information to send when requesting a geofence

  • Geofence name
  • Address or map location
  • Approximate radius or area
  • Objects that should use the geofence
  • Whether alerts are needed for entry, exit or both

11. Reports

Reports transform tracking data into structured information for operations, accounting, safety, customer service and internal control.

Generate a report

  1. Go to Tools → Reports, if available in your account.
  2. Select the report type.
  3. Select the object, objects or object group available to you.
  4. Choose the date and time range.
  5. Apply optional filters, such as geofence, driver, speed or events where available.
  6. Generate the report.
  7. Review, export, print or send the report as needed.

12. Sensors

Sensors convert tracker data into readable values. A correctly configured sensor makes alerts and reports more accurate.

Configuration handled by entopizo: Sensor creation, calibration, formulas, digital inputs, outputs, fuel, temperature and advanced sensor logic are configured by entopizo after request. Customer users normally view sensor values but do not configure them.

Requesting a sensor change

If a sensor value appears wrong, missing or needs to be added, send entopizo the object name, tracker/device information if available, the desired sensor function and a short description of the issue or requirement.

13. Commands

Commands allow authorized users to send instructions to a GPS tracker. Commands may use mobile data or SMS depending on tracker configuration and platform settings.

Controlled feature: Commands are available only when enabled by entopizo and only for users who are allowed to use them. Command templates and command availability are configured by entopizo.

Before using a command

  • Confirm that the command is available in your account.
  • Confirm that the object is online.
  • Confirm that the command is supported by the tracker model.
  • Understand the operational effect of the command.
  • Contact entopizo before using any critical command.

Command safety

Commands that affect relays, immobilization, sirens or any connected vehicle function must only be used where safe, legal and operationally appropriate.

14. Tasks

Tasks can be used to organize operational work connected to vehicles, drivers, deliveries, service visits or internal follow-up, if this module is enabled for your account.

Example task uses

  • Assign a driver to visit a customer site.
  • Create a follow-up after a vehicle alert.
  • Request a technical check for a GPS tracker installation.
  • Track delivery or service job progress.
  • Monitor open and completed operational actions.

15. Maintenance

Maintenance helps track service reminders based on date, mileage, engine hours or other available values, if this module is enabled for your account.

Configuration note: Maintenance reminders can be configured by entopizo after you provide the required service intervals, mileage limits or due dates.

16. Sharing

Sharing creates a limited tracking link for selected objects. It is useful when you need to share a vehicle location with a customer, partner, driver or emergency contact without giving full account access.

Sharing link use

  1. Open the Sharing tool if it is enabled for your account.
  2. Select the object or objects to share, if your access allows it.
  3. Choose the expiration type: no expiration, duration or specific date.
  4. Create the link or request entopizo to create it for you.
  5. Send the link only to trusted recipients.
  6. Delete, expire or request removal of the link when it is no longer needed.
Privacy note: Sharing links may reveal live or recent location. Use them carefully and avoid permanent links unless there is a clear operational reason.

17. Dashboard and widgets

Dashboards and widgets provide a quick overview of fleet activity, online/offline status, recent events, task progress and distance travelled, where available.

Configuration note: Dashboard and widget layout may be predefined. If you need a different dashboard view, request the change from entopizo.

18. Mobile app

The mobile app allows users to access key tracking features from a smartphone. It is especially useful for live monitoring and push notifications.

First mobile login

  1. Install the entopizo mobile app or the app provided by your account manager.
  2. Open the app.
  3. Enter your platform credentials.
  4. Allow notifications if you want push alerts.
  5. Check that your objects appear correctly.
  6. Open one object and confirm that the map, status and last update are visible.

Common mobile functions

  • Navigate to the object location
  • Review recent events
  • Use basic controls depending on permissions
Push notification tip: If notifications do not arrive, check phone notification permissions, battery optimization settings and app background restrictions.

19. Requesting changes from entopizo

Some platform changes require technical configuration. In these cases, send a request to entopizo with clear details so the change can be applied correctly.

  • Connect the platform with another system through an integration.

20. Troubleshooting

Object is offline

  • Check whether the tracker has power.
  • Check whether the SIM card has active mobile data.
  • Check mobile network coverage in the area.
  • Move the vehicle to an open area if GPS or mobile signal may be blocked.
  • Contact entopizo if the object remains offline.

Object location is not accurate

  • Check if the vehicle is indoors, underground or near tall buildings.
  • Wait for the tracker to obtain a better GPS fix.
  • Review history to see if the issue is temporary or repeated.
  • Contact entopizo if inaccurate positions continue.

Alerts are not received

  • Check that the alert is expected to be active at that time.
  • Check email, SMS or app notification settings.
  • Check mobile app notification permissions.
  • Confirm that the alert condition actually occurred.
  • Contact entopizo to review the alert configuration.

Reports have missing data

  • Confirm the selected time range.
  • Check whether the object was online during that period.
  • Check whether the report requires a sensor that may not be configured.
  • Contact entopizo to verify report and sensor configuration.

Command does not work

  • Confirm that command functionality is enabled for your account.
  • Confirm that the device is online.
  • Confirm that the action is safe and allowed.
  • Contact entopizo before retrying critical commands.

21. Frequently asked questions

Can I change platform settings myself?

No. System-level settings, permissions, object setup, sensors, advanced alerts, command templates and technical configuration are handled by entopizo after request.

Can I add a new vehicle myself?

New vehicles, assets or trackers are activated and configured by entopizo. Contact entopizo support with the vehicle details and tracker information.

Why does my vehicle show offline?

The tracker may have no power, no mobile data, poor mobile network coverage, incorrect configuration or a technical issue. Check the last update time first, then contact entopizo if the issue continues.

Can I see where the vehicle was yesterday?

Yes. Open History, select the object, choose yesterday’s date range and load the route, if history access is enabled for your account.

Can I receive alerts on my phone?

Yes, if mobile push notifications are enabled for your account and the mobile app has notification permissions on your phone.

Can I create alerts only outside working hours?

Yes, this can be configured if supported by your account. For advanced schedules or special alert logic, contact entopizo support.

Can I share a vehicle location with a customer?

Yes, if sharing is enabled for your account. Sharing links should be used carefully because they may reveal live or recent location.

Why does a report not show fuel or temperature?

Fuel and temperature reports require compatible hardware, correct installation and sensor configuration. If the tracker does not send the required data, the report cannot display it.

Can I export or print this manual?

Yes. Press Print / Save as PDF and choose your printer or Save as PDF from the browser print dialog.
