01How long does it take to install a GPS tracker in my car?
A certified technician hardwires it discreetly inside the vehicle. Installation typically takes one to two hours.
02Can a thief find and remove the GPS tracker?
A hidden, hardwired installation is far harder to locate than a visible OBD plug-in or a standalone battery-powered unit. That's the secret behind our 100% vehicle recovery rate to date: it takes us 1–2 hours to conceal the device properly — imagine how long it would take a thief to find it.
03Does the tracker keep working if the car battery is disconnected?
Devices with an internal backup battery keep transmitting — and a power cut-off instantly triggers a call and an alert to the owner.
04Will the GPS tracker drain my car's battery?
Entopizo devices support four sleep-mode levels while the vehicle is parked, dropping standby consumption to as low as 1mA — while the market is full of devices drawing up to 200mA in normal operation, often misconfigured, with the results we all know.
05Which sleep-mode level is right for my GPS tracker?
It all depends on how often you use the vehicle, the capacity of its battery, and the existing consumption from other equipment — sound systems, screens, alarms, dashcams and so on. The lighter the sleep mode, the higher the standby consumption — but the more complete the functions and the more immediate the alerts from your vehicle.
06What is geofencing and how do I set it up?
Virtual boundaries you draw in the app — you're alerted the moment the vehicle crosses them.
07Can I really cut off the engine remotely?
Yes. With the specialised Teltonika immobilizer module you can block ignition or safely stop a running engine.
08Can I transfer the tracker to another vehicle?
Yes — just inform our support department so we can apply the proper configuration if the new vehicle is of a different type.
09Does installing a tracker affect my car's warranty?
Professional installation doesn't void your warranty. Entopizo GPS trackers come with certificates of suitability and compliance with European standards. If your dealership has a relevant policy, we'll gladly provide them with the documentation and full details — after all, we already supply GPS trackers to several vehicle dealerships.
10What warranty do Entopizo devices come with?
We provide a lifetime warranty on our devices for as long as they maintain uninterrupted active Entopizo services. Otherwise, the standard two-year warranty of good operation applies.
11Is there a device I can install myself?
Yes — selected OBD or U-type devices. All other devices must be installed by industry professionals, as improper installation carries a real risk of damaging the vehicle.
12Do trackers for petrol and diesel cars also fit electric cars?
Absolutely — in both cases the wiring carries a constant 12V supply. That's unlike many electric motorcycles and other vehicles whose electric versions run above 30V and therefore require dedicated devices. In any case, we stock devices compatible with every vehicle type.
13Should I install a GPS tracker or an alarm?
One doesn't replace the other. A GPS tracker can perform certain alarm functions (e.g. triggering a siren on door opening or movement), just as an alarm can have a built-in GPS tracker. The reason the GPS tracker has prevailed as the better choice is simple: it shows the vehicle's exact position even if you don't manage to intervene in time at the moment of the break-in.
14What information and alerts can a GPS tracker send me?
"Unlimited" is the right word here.
