CARAVAN
Find the right GPS tracker for caravan and motorhome protection, installed by Entopizo with live tracking, theft alerts, and our own SIM subscription.
A GPS tracker for caravan use is aimed at owners who leave the vehicle unattended for long stretches, whether parked at home, in storage, or at a campsite, and want to know immediately if it moves without permission. This category is for private owners and caravan or motorhome rental businesses who need a discreet, reliable way to locate the unit and respond fast if it is stolen.

Why caravans and motorhomes need tracking
Caravans are a common theft target precisely because they sit idle for weeks between trips, often in driveways, storage yards, or campsites with little supervision. A caravan theft tracker gives an early warning the moment the caravan is hitched and moved, which is often the only window to act before it disappears into another region or across a border. For motorhomes, tracking also helps during the trip itself, confirming location to family or a rental company.
- Long idle periods between trips increase theft risk
- Caravans parked outdoors or in shared storage are harder to supervise
- Rental motorhomes need location confirmation for the owner or company
- Recovery chances drop quickly once a stolen caravan leaves the area
How to choose between the two options
For this category we offer two trackers suited to different installation styles. The Teltonika FMB204 is compact and easy to fit discreetly inside the caravan body or storage compartment, reporting position over its own connection without needing the tow vehicle's power. The Teltonika TAT140 4G is built specifically as a backup GPS tracker, meaning it keeps reporting on internal battery even if someone cuts obvious wiring or power is otherwise unavailable, which matters for a caravan that has no engine or battery of its own to draw from reliably.
Mounting location matters more for a caravan than for a car, since there is no engine bay to hide a device in. Both units are small enough to place inside wall panels, storage lockers, or other hidden spots, which keeps the tracker out of sight from anyone inspecting the caravan before towing it away.
Installation and the subscription
We fit the tracker in a concealed location chosen for signal reliability and discretion, test it, and activate it on our platform before handover. The subscription covers our own SIM card, data, and full access to the live tracking platform and mobile apps, along with movement and geofence alerts that notify you the moment the caravan starts moving.
A caravan GPS tracker without subscription will record position but cannot alert you in real time or be checked remotely, which defeats the purpose for a vehicle that is unattended by definition. Since a stolen caravan can be moved far within hours, waiting to check a memory card later is not a practical option. Our subscription is what makes the live alert and current-location features work, and it includes everything needed, SIM, platform, and apps, with no separate accounts to manage.
Real use cases
An owner stores a caravan at home during winter and gets an alert the moment it is moved, well before noticing it missing in person. A rental company fits trackers across its motorhome fleet to confirm each unit's location during and after a rental period. A family towing a caravan on a long summer trip uses the live map to check progress when the caravan is parked overnight at a campsite away from the towing vehicle.
Frequently asked questions
Where should the tracker be installed on a caravan?
It is fitted in a concealed spot inside the caravan body, such as a wall panel or storage locker, chosen to balance signal reception and discretion from anyone inspecting the unit.
Does the caravan tracker need the tow vehicle's power?
No. Both the FMB204 and the TAT140 are designed to operate independently, with the TAT140 built specifically to keep reporting on backup battery.
Will I get an alert if the caravan is moved without me?
Yes, movement and geofence alerts are part of the subscription and are sent through the platform and mobile app as soon as motion is detected.
Can the tracker work without a subscription?
Not for live tracking. Without an active SIM and platform, the device cannot send real-time alerts or be checked remotely, which is the main protection a caravan owner needs.
