E-SCOOTER
Choose a GPS tracker for e-scooter models at Entopizo, with installation, live tracking platform and our own SIM subscription.
A GPS tracker for e-scooter use is meant for owners of personal electric scooters, rental fleets, and shops that sell or service them. Because e-scooters are light, fast to pick up, and easy to carry away, having a location device fitted gives a real chance of recovery if one is stolen. The models in this category cover both compact battery units and wired trackers suited to the limited space inside a scooter deck or stem.

Why e-scooters are a theft risk
Electric scooters are small, valuable, and often parked outside without heavy locking, which makes them an easy target. Once gone, a scooter without any tracking is very hard to trace. An anti-theft e-scooter GPS device reports its position continuously, so an owner can see where it is and act quickly, including sharing the location with authorities.
Choosing the right device
Space inside an e-scooter is tight, usually limited to the deck, stem, or battery compartment, so size and mounting options matter. The Teltonika FTC305 is built specifically with e-scooters in mind and fits into small enclosures. The FTC921 offers higher positioning accuracy, useful for scooters used in dense city centers where tall buildings interfere with GPS signal. The FTC927 adds dead reckoning, which keeps the tracker estimating position for a short period even without a clear GPS signal, such as when the scooter is wheeled into a covered area.
- Power: decide between a battery-powered unit that runs independently or a wired tracker connected to the scooter's own battery for continuous operation.
- Mounting: the tracker should sit inside the deck or stem housing where it is not visible and not exposed to water directly.
- Connectivity: 4G models such as the FTC305, FTC921, and FTC927 generally send updates faster and more reliably than 2G models like the TST100.
- Use case: a personal scooter mainly needs theft alerts and location history, while a rental fleet benefits more from real-time fleet-wide visibility.
Installation and what the subscription includes
Installing a tracker on an e-scooter typically means opening the deck or stem cover, securing the unit, wiring it to the battery if it is a powered model, and confirming signal before closing the housing. We can carry out installation or support an installer doing it.
The subscription includes the SIM card for data transmission, access to our platform and mobile apps, and configurable alerts for movement, geofencing, and low battery. Some buyers look for an e-scooter tracking device without a subscription, expecting a one-time cost with no ongoing service. In practice, the tracker still needs an active SIM and data connection to report location; without our subscription, you would need to arrange and pay for that separately, and you would not have access to our tracking platform, alerts, or support. Our subscription keeps all of that working as one package from the start.
Real use cases
A commuter who leaves the scooter outside a workplace wants an alert if it moves unexpectedly during the day. A micromobility rental company needs to see every scooter's position on one map to manage the fleet and recover units left outside service areas. A repair shop can offer tracking installation as an add-on service for customers buying a new electric scooter.
Frequently asked questions
Is a GPS tracker worth it for an e-scooter?
Given how easily e-scooters can be picked up and moved, a tracker significantly improves the chance of locating and recovering one if it is stolen.
Does the e-scooter GPS tracker work without a subscription?
The device needs an active SIM connection to transmit location. Without our subscription you would need your own SIM and data plan and would lose access to our platform and alerts.
Where is the tracker usually installed on a scooter?
It is typically fitted inside the deck or stem housing, where it stays hidden and protected from the weather.
Can one platform manage several e-scooters at once?
Yes, our platform shows all registered trackers on one map, which is useful for anyone managing more than one scooter or a small fleet.
