PARAMOTORS

Entopizo offers a paramotor GPS tracker for pilots and schools who want live tracking of flights and equipment through our own platform and SIM-based subscripti

A paramotor GPS tracker lets pilots, flight schools, and equipment owners know exactly where a paramotor or paraglider setup is at all times, during flight and in storage. This category is built for recreational pilots, instructors managing a fleet of training units, and owners who want recovery support if equipment is lost, stolen, or left at a remote landing site.

Because paramotors run on small, light electrical systems and spend long periods stored in a vehicle, garage, or trailer, the trackers here are chosen for compact mounting, flexible power options, and backup battery operation.

Why paramotor flights need a tracker

Paramotor flights often cover open countryside, coastline, or hills with no fixed takeoff and landing points, and radio contact is limited. A paramotor flight tracker gives a pilot's ground crew or school instructor a live view of position during the flight and a clear record of where the pilot landed, which speeds up recovery if a flight ends away from the planned site.

For flight schools, tracking also supports monitoring of student pilots during supervised flights and keeps a location history for every session, useful for both safety review and logistics when retrieving equipment from multiple landing points in one day.

How to choose a GPS tracker for paragliders and paramotors

The right device depends on how the tracker will be powered and mounted.

  • Power source: some installations tap into the paramotor's own electrical system, others need a tracker with wide voltage tolerance to run from a separate battery pack.
  • Internal battery and backup: a unit with its own battery continues reporting after engine shutdown, important once the pilot has landed and powered down.
  • Size and mounting: the tracker needs to fit securely on the frame or in the harness without interfering with controls or the pilot's movement.
  • Reporting interval: frequent updates during flight give a more precise track of the route taken, useful for logging flights or reviewing a training session.

The Teltonika ATC700 4G suits installations with a stable onboard power connection and gives continuous 4G reporting during flight. The Teltonika FTC881 4G High Voltage Easy tracker is built for simple wiring into varied voltage setups. The Teltonika TAT140 4G works as a backup unit with internal battery, reporting location independently of the paramotor's own power once the pilot has landed or powered down.

Installation and the subscription

Mounting on a paramotor needs care around vibration, exposed wiring, and weatherproofing, since the frame and harness are exposed to the elements throughout the flight. Entopizo installers secure the unit and confirm GPS signal before the equipment goes back into use.

All our trackers are activated with our own SIM card and our own live tracking platform included in the subscription, covering mobile and web app access and configurable alerts. A tracker without a subscription has no active SIM and no platform behind it, so the pilot would need to arrange data connectivity and build a way to view the position independently. With our subscription, the device is online and visible on the platform from the first flight.

Real use cases

A flight school tracks several training paramotors during a day of lessons and locates each one quickly after landing in different fields. A solo pilot flying along the coast keeps the tracker active so a ground contact can follow the flight path and meet them at the landing point. An owner storing equipment between flying seasons uses the tracker's alerts to know if the equipment is moved unexpectedly.

Frequently asked questions

Will a GPS tracker add noticeable weight to my paramotor?

These units are compact and built for mounting on light aircraft and equipment, intended to be installed without affecting handling.

Can the tracker keep working after I land and shut down the engine?

A unit with internal backup battery, like the TAT140 4G, continues to report position after the paramotor's own power source is off.

Do I need a subscription for these trackers to work?

Yes, the subscription provides the SIM connectivity and platform access needed to see the tracker's position; without it there is no connection to send data through.

Can a flight school monitor multiple pilots at once?

Yes, the platform supports multiple devices on one account, so a school or fleet manager can view all units together.
